Assessment of conformity with the essential safety requirements of the fluid control systems in production machines. This article presents the rules of conformity assessment of safety-related control systems made with use of fluid technology in production machinery. The new safety requirements resulted from EC law and harmonised standards are presented, therein the requirements concerning functional safety of these systems. The notified bodies and market surveillance tasks in the area of checking of validation of these systems are discussed up.
Test stand for hydraulic systems with variable load. This paper presents main methods of braking a rod of a hydraulic actuator with passive and active load. Components of the test stand with different hydraulic solutions to work in changing load conditions of a hydraulic cylinder have been described. The research capabilities, simulation program and sample results have been presented.
Experimental research of gerotor pump with gears made of PPS. Paper presents the results of experimental research of gerotor pump with gears made of PPS. Research program included verification of operation of the pump and determination of durability characteristics. Presented results of durability tests, shows that the pump with gears made of plastics worked maintaining a constant level of volumetric efficiency ηv = 80%.
Deformation in the backlash compensation node of the satellite hydraulic pumping unit. The article presents FEM simulation of the deformations of hydraulic pumping unit. The unit is an electric asynchronous motor with a pump placed inside it. The evolution of unit’s construction and the consequences of the applied changes have been presented. In the summary the final design of the pumping unit has been shown.
Influence of the position of the swash plate rotation axis on the volumetric efficiency of the axial pistons pumps. The article describes the influence of the position of the swash plate axis of rotation on the size of the dead space and the volumetric efficiency of the axial pistons pump. Superposition of two motions has been proposed – the rotation of the swash plate with respect to axis intersecting the axis of rotation of the pump shaft and the shifts of swash plate yielding a result of the rotation axis offset effect. In the article it is also made the comparison of the volumetric efficiency of the pump with the axis intersecting with the axis of rotation, and the construction with the shifted axis.
Magneto-rheological fluid-based seals for rotating shafts. In the paper some results of frictional torque in magneto-rheological fluid- based seals at rotating motion and at overpressure conditions are presented. For determination of frictional torque in MR-fluid-based seals the mathematical model is proposed. It was formulated on the basis of literature analysis and own researches. Test results showed, that frictional torque in magnetorheological fluid-based seals are considerably higher, than in ferrofluid-based seals.
