Electro-pneumatic servo-drive controlled by biosignals. The test-stand to remotely control the electro-pneumatic servo-drive by means of biosignals generated by the operator has been described. The natural biosignals generated by brain, facial muscles and eye muscles read by the NIA (Neural Impulse Actuator) are translated into control commands in the controller of electro-pneumatic servo-drive. The possibility of using this type of control system in practice has been pointed out.
Life time assessment of electrorheological working fluids. The main goal of the paper was determination of lifetime of the heterogeneous smart fluid ERF#6, which was used as working fluid of a hydraulic clutch. Procedure of the experimental tests has been described. In conclusion it was stated that the lifetime of the fluids depends on damage or disintegration of particles caused by particle friction and particle hit on the impeller blades.

The novel solutions and prototypes, which determine the directions of development, as well as the standard and proven design have been pointed out.
EHL simulation of the effects of the rod surface on hydraulic rod seal operation. Effects of the rod surface to operation of hydraulic rod seal with elastohydrodynamic and mechanical contact have been analyzed. Fluid transport, the friction force, the contact pressure distribution and the pressure distribution in the area of the seal was determined and compared with the numerical results of a perfectly smooth surface of the piston rod. The consequences of the ground for both seals have been pointed out.
Sealing of a piston pump. In the paper, the structure and design of low speed multi-piston hydraulic pomp of high flow rate is described. The pump can be applied in small hydro power plants. Hydraulic seal has been the subject of various studies in terms of its selection and applicability due to its direct influence on the volumetric efficiency, friction and durability of the hydraulics.
