CFD simulation of flow phenomena in the external gear pump. The paper presents a 2-dimensional CFD model of an external gear pump. To investigate the fluid flow phenomena one of the commercial CFD software packages was used. The influence of rotational speed of the gears, and of the pressure in the outlet channel on the occurrence and intensity of cavitation in the area of engagement has been analyzed.

Application of FluidSIM® software to modeling pneumatic systems for testing of machines control programs. FluidSIM® software, commonly associated with education, has been described in the article and the basic possibilities of communication between the computer and the real PLC have been discussed. On the example of the plate-bolts control, the most important principles for developing and testing the model are discussed.

Simulation tests of aerostatic bearings in planar stepper motor. The article discusses the methods of supplying aerostatic bearing systems of planar stepper motors considering the used nozzles and support chambers. The results of the simulations have been presented. The purpose of this study was to determine the pressure value of the support chamber and chamber pressure in the aerostatic bearing of the planar stepper motor.

Machinery and equipment market – global, european and domestic – in turbulent times. The global and European machinery and equipment markets are described, noting their dependence of GDP growth. Production figures for selected domestic engineering industries – such as car and truck manufacturing, household appliances, construction and agricultural machinery – are discussed. The rapidly changing situation in selected sectors of the engineering industry where hydraulic drives and control play an important role in Germany, China, Japan and the US is discussed.

Electronic control of hydraulic load unit for testing of high reducing gear transmission. In the article have been compared selected PLCs for use in mobile hydraulic systems. The most important problems with control in load system for rotary units have been outlined. A control system with a selected controller was used to test the high-reducing cycloid gear and the some results are discussed.
